On a cold Sunday evening, what is more comfy than a hot coffee and a good book?
I know not many of you may not approve of the above statement. Nevertheless. Here are some perks of reading.
Reading reduces stress
When you’re indulging in a book, you move away from all the life problems and issues, and enter the imaginary world created by the writer. It doesn’t matter what you read.
Whenever I get stressed or need a break, I use my Kindle or pick up a book from my shelf and read for some time. After a few minutes I get into the flow, and transported to a place that takes away my stress and problems for at least a brief time. That gives me some energy to get on with life.
Increases your knowledge
It helps if you have some knowledge about various things. It will make your life easier. Another advantage of reading is that you can also come as clever to your peers as you can apply what you learned from a book when a situation arises.
After I read a book on productivity, I usually apply those into my life and inspect the results.
Apply new ideas to life, work and study
It’s no secret that reading gives you new ideas.
For example: When you read a book on productivity I always get to try out new ideas that’ll help me find solutions to problems I’v been trying to figure out.
So here it is.
So what are you waiting for? Go and grab a new book and start reading right away.
